"Rajiv Joseph’s play, a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize last year, is a boldly imagined drama about the chaotic days immediately after the American invasion of Iraq. Most of the cast members from Moisés Kaufman’s Los Angeles production will recreate their roles for the New York run. The single newcomer is Robin Williams, in his Broadway debut (as an actor, not a comic), in the title role. Yes, he plays a tiger who talks. No, this tiger doesn’t do shtick."

Starting in Spring 2011, Robin will be appearing on Broadway in the play Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo, written by Rajiv Joseph and directed by Moises Kaufman.

The nominations have been announced for the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, and Robin's 2010 CD release Weapons of Self Destruction is nominated as Best Comedy Album.
The album and DVD went on sale at the end of March 2010 and is still available.

From Reuters: "The play, written by American playwright Rajiv Joseph, premiered in Los Angeles last year and went on to become a Pulitzer Prize finalist.
